【摘要】:ThispartofISO10838specifiesrequirementsandtestmethodsforfull-end-load-resistantmechanicalpipe-jointingsystemsforconnecting,toeachotherortoafittingorasalateralconnectiontoapolyethylenemain(branchingorlateralconnection),polyethylene(PE)pipes,conformingtoISO4437,ofnominaloutsidediametersmallerthanorequalto63mm.Inaddition,itspecifiescertaingeneralpropertiesofthematerialfromwhichthesefittingsaremade.ThispartofISO10838specifiesdimensionalrequirementsfor,andtheperformanceof,suchassemblies.Itisapplicabletomechanicalfittingswiththermoplasticsand/orreinforced-thermoplasticsload-bearingcomponentsintendedforusewithPEpipesdesignedforthesupplyofgaseousfuels,toproduceeitherpermanentjointsorjointswhichcanbedismantled.Ifintendedforassemblywithametalpipeorfitting,suchconnectionsmaycomprisecompressionjointsorflangedorfusedconnections.ThispartofISO10838isapplicableonlytomechanicalfittingswithnormaloperating-temperaturelimitsbetween-20℃and+40℃,unlessotherwiseagreedbetweentheinterestedparties.ItisthepurposeofthispartofISO10838toprovideperformancerequirementsthatwillensurethatmechanicalpipe-jointingsystemswillprovidefullsealingandfullrestraintofthePEpipingsothatthePEpipingwillyieldratherthanpulloutofthemechanicaljointwhensubjectedtotensileforcesorpressure.
