【摘要】:Accurategaschromatographicdeterminationoftracelevelsofthiopheneinbenzeneinvolvesspecialanalyticalproblemsbecauseofthedifficultiesoftracelevelanalysis.Theseproblemsarisefromthelowconcentrationlevelsthatneedtobemeasured,thetypeofcolumnanddetectorneededforanalysis,andthepotentialinterferencefromthebenzenematrix.ThistestmethodwasfoundapplicablefordeterminingthiopheneinrefinedbenzeneconformingtothespecificationsdescribedinSpecificationsD2359,D4734,andD5871andmaybeapplicabletowardothergradesofbenzeneiftheuserhastakenthenecessaryprecautionsasdescribedinthetext.ThistestmethodwasdevelopedasanalternativetechniquetoTestMethodsD1685andD4735.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthiopheneinrefinedbenzeneusinggaschromatographyandsulfurselectivedetection.Thetestmethodisapplicabletothedeterminationofthiopheneatlevelsof0.02to2mg/kgthiopheneinbenzene.1.2Indeterminingtheconformanceofthetestresultsusingthismethodtoapplicablespecifications,resultsshallberoundedoffinaccordancewiththerounding-offmethodofPracticeE29.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecifichazardstatements,seeSection7.
