【摘要】:Volatilematter,whendeterminedashereindescribed,canbeusedtoestablishtherankofcoals,toindicatecokeyieldoncarbonizationprocess,toprovidethebasisforpurchasingandselling,ortoestablishburningcharacteristics.1.1Thistestmethoddeterminesthepercentageofgaseousproducts,exclusiveofmoisturevapor,intheanalysissamplewhicharereleasedunderthespecificconditionsofthetest.1.2Thistestmethodfordeterminationofvolatilematterisempirical;becauseofitsempiricalnature,strictadherencetobasicprincipalsandpermissibleproceduresisrequiredtoobtainvalidresults.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.
