【摘要】:Thistestmethodprovidesastandardmethodofdeterminingtheweight[mass]ofcoatingforcomparisonwithspecificationrequirements.Acoatingofaluminumonironorsteelarticlesprovidesprotectionagainstcorrosionbyformingarelativelyinertbarrier.Specificationsforaluminum-coatedarticlesoccasionallyprovidefordifferentclasses(weights)[masses]ofcoatingsothatthepurchasercanselectthecoatingweight[mass]mostsuitedtohisneeds.Theheaviercoatingwillprovidegreaterprotectionagainstmechanicaldamagewhichmaybreakthecoating.1.1Thistestmethodcoversproceduresfordeterminingtheweight[mass]ofcoatingonaluminum-coatedironorsteelsheetsandwire,andonotheraluminum-coatedironandsteelarticles.1.2Thefinalresultsdeterminedbythistestmethodshallbeexpressedininch-poundunitsorSIunits,dependingontheunitsusedinthematerialspecificationtowhichtheresultsaretobecompared.Certainportionsoftheprocedureinvolvingdeterminationofspecimenweight[mass]havetraditionallybeenperformedinSIunits,andcorrespondinginch-poundunitsarenotincluded.1.3Forsheetproducts,thefinalresultsareexpressedaseithercoatingweight[mass]totalbothsides,orcoatingweight[mass]separatelyoneachside,dependingonthespecifiedrequirements.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Foraspecificprecautionarystatement,seeNote1.
