【摘要】:IthasbeenagreedtopublishinterpretationsissuedbytheB31CommitteeconcerningB31.3aspartoftheupdateservicetotheCode.Theinterpretationshavebeenassignednumbersinchronologicalorder.EachinterpretationappliestotheEditionstatedintheinterpretation,orifnoneisstated,totheEditionineffectonthedateofissuanceoftheinterpretation.SubsequentrevisionstotheCodemayhavesupersededthereply.Theserepliesaretakenverbatimfromtheoriginalletters,exceptforafewtypographicalandeditorialcorrectionsmadeforthepurposeofimprovedclarity.Insomeinstances,areviewoftheinterpretationrevealedaneedforcorrectionsofatechnicalnature.Inthesecases,arevisedreplybearingtheoriginalinterpretationnumberwiththesuffixRispresented.Inthecasewhereaninterpretationiscorrectedbyerrata,theoriginalinterpretationnumberwiththesuffixEisused.ASMEproceduresprovideforreconsiderationoftheseinterpretationswhenorifadditionalinformationisavailablewhichtheinquirerbelievesmightaffecttheinterpretation.Further,personsaggrievedbyaninterpretationmayappealtothecognizantASMEcommitteeorsubcommittee.AsstatedintheStatementofPolicyintheCodedocuments,ASMEdoesnot“approve,”“certify,”“rate,”or“endorse”anyitem,construction,proprietarydevice,oractivity.FordetailedinstructionsonpreparationoftechnicalinquiriestotheB31Committee,refertoAppendixZ.
