【摘要】:Theresultsobtainedbythispracticeshallserveasaguidein,butnotasthesolebasisfor,selectionofathermosettingresinusedinanRTPstructure.NoattempthasbeenmadetoincorporateintothepracticeallthevariousfactorsthatmayenterintotheserviceabilityofanRTPstructurewhensubjectedtochemicalenvironments.Thesefactorsmayincludestress,differentresin-to-glassratios,andmultipleveils.1.1Thispracticeisdesignedtoevaluate,inanunstressedstate,thechemicalresistanceofthermosettingresinsusedinthefabricationofreinforcedthermosettingplastic(RTP)laminates.Thispracticeprovidesforthedeterminationofchangesintheproperties,describedasfollows,ofthetestspecimensandtestreagentafterexposureofthespecimenstothereagent:hardnessofspecimens,weightchangethickness,appearanceofspecimens,appearanceofimmersionmedia,andflexuralstrengthandmodulus.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.Note18212;Thispracticemayalsobeusedtoevaluateotherfactors,suchassurfacingveils,theeffectofresinadditives,andfabricationvariablesonthechemicalresistanceoftheresin.Note28212;ThereisnoknownISOequivalenttothisstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
