【摘要】:Asstatedintheintroduction,thescopeoftheDPCSstandardistomakeitpossibleforintegratedcircuitdesignerstoanalyzechiptimingandpowerconsistentlyacrossabroadsetofEDAapplications,forintegratedcircuitvendorstoexpresstimingandpowerinformationonce(foragiventechnology),andforEDAvendorstomeettheirapplicationperformanceandcapacityneeds.Theintendeduseforthesestandardsisintegratedcircuittimingandpower.Thestandardmaybeappliedtobothunitlogiccellssuppliedbytheintegratedcircuitvendorandlogicalmacrosdefinedbytheintegratedcircuitdesigner.AlthoughthisspecificationiswrittentowardstheintegratedcircuitsupplierandEDAdeveloper,itsapplicationappliesequallywelltorepresentationoftimingandpowerfordesignerdefinedmacros(orhierarchicaldesignelements).Thesespecificationsmakeitpossibletoachieveconsistenttimingandpowerresults,butdonotguaranteeit.Theyprovideforasingleexecutablesoftwareprogramwhichcomputesdelayandpowerbasedonintegratedcircuitvendor-suppliedalgorithms(ordesigner-suppliedalgorithmsformacros),butdoesnotguaranteeEDAapplicationscorrectlycommunicatethedesign-specificinformationrequiredforthesealgorithms.Byspecifyingstandardexchangeformatsforparasiticdataandfloorplanninginformation,thestandardprovidesamarkedimprovementoverdesignenvironmentswithnosuchstandards.However,itistheresponsibilityoftheEDAapplicationtocorrectlycorrelatetheinformationbetweenthesestandardexchangefilesandtheactualdesign.Thesespecificationsalsodonotdetailhowtheinformationcontainedwithinthestandardexchangefilesshallbeobtained.
