【摘要】:ThispartofIEC61290appliestoopticalfibreamplifiers(OFA)usingactivefibres,containingrare-earthdopants,presentlycommerciallyavailable.TheobjectofthisInternationalStandardistoestablishuniformrequirementsforaccurateandreliablemeasurements,ofthenoisefigure,asdefinedin3.1.17ofIEC61291-1,bymeansoftheelectricalspectrumanalyzer(ESA)method.Thepresenttestmethodisbasedondirectelectricalnoisemeasurementanditisdirectlyrelatedtoitsdefinitionincludingallrelevantnoisecontributions.Adifferenttestmethodbasedontheopticalspectrumanalyzercanbeused,particularlyfordifferentnoiseparameters(suchasthesignal-spontaneousnoisefactor)butitisnotincludedintheobjectofthisstandard.NOTE1Allnumericalvaluesfollowedby()aresuggestedvaluesforwhichthemeasurementisassured.Othervaluesmaybeacceptablebutshouldbeverified.NOTE2Ameasurementaccuracyfortheaveragenoisefactorof±20%(),respectively±1dB,shouldbeattainablewiththismethod(seeclause6).NOTE3GeneralaspectsofnoisefiguretestmethodsarereportedinIEC61290-3.
