【摘要】:ThepurposeofthispartofIEC1300istodetermineinanacceleratedmannertheresistanceofafibreopticdevicetothedeteriorativeeffectsofhightemperature,humidityandcoldconditions.Itisintendedtorevealdefectsinaspecimencausedbybreathingasopposedtoabsorptionofmoisture.Thetestcoverstheeffectofthefreezingoftrappedwaterincracksandfissuresaswellascondensation.However,thedegreeofcondensationwillvarydependingonthesizeandthermalmassofthespecimen.Thistestdiffersfromothercyclicdampheattestsinthatitderivesitsincreasedseverityfrom:a)agreaternumberoftemperaturevariationsorpumpingactionsinagiventime;b)agreatercyclictemperaturerange;c)ahigherrateofchangeoftemperature;d)theinclusionofanumberofexcursionstosub-zerotemperature.Thistypeoftestisparticularlyimportantforfibreopticdevicesmadeofavarietyofdifferentmaterials,especiallythosedeviceshavingglassjoints.
