【摘要】:ThistestmethodiscommonlyreferredtoastheL-37test.Thistestmethodcoversatestprocedureforevaluatingtheload-carrying,wear,andextremepressurepropertiesofagearlubricantinahypoidaxleunderconditionsoflow-speed,high-torqueoperation.Thistestmethodalsoprovidesfortherunningofthelowaxletemperature(Canadian)L-37test.Theprocedureforthelowaxletemperature(Canadian)L-37testisidenticaltothestandardL-37testwiththeexceptionsoftheitemsspecificallylistedin.TheproceduremodificationslistedinrefertothecorrespondingsectionofthestandardL-37testmethod.Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecificwarninginformationisgiveninSections4and7.
