【摘要】:Wastecompositioninformationhaswidespreadapplicationsandcanbeusedforactivitiessuchassolidwasteplanning,designingwastemanagementfacilities,andestablishingareferencewastecompositionforuseasabaselinestandardinbothfacilitycontractsandacceptancetestplans.ThemethodcanbeusedtodefineandreportthecompositionofMSWthroughtheselectionandmanualsortingofwastesamples.Whereapplicable,careshouldbetakentoconsiderthesourceandseasonalvariationofwaste.Afterperformingawastecompositionanalysis,laboratoryanalysesmaybeperformedonrepresentativesamplesofwastecomponents,ormixturesofwastecomponents,forpurposesrelatedtotheplanning,management,design,testing,andoperationofresourcerecoveryfacilities.1.1Thistestmethoddescribesproceduresformeasuringthecompositionofunprocessedmunicipalsolidwaste(MSW)byemployingmanualsorting.ThistestmethodappliestodeterminationofthemeancompositionofMSWbasedonthecollectionandmanualsortingofanumberofsamplesofwasteoveraselectedtimeperiodcoveringaminimumofoneweek.1.2Thistestmethodincludesproceduresforthecollectionofarepresentativesortingsampleofunprocessedwaste,manualsortingofthewasteintoindividualwastecomponents,datareduction,andreportingoftheresults.1.3Thistestmethodmaybeappliedatlandfillsites,wasteprocessingandconversionfacilities,andtransferstations.1.4Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblems,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecifichazardstatements,seeSection6.
