【摘要】:Theintentofthisguideistoprovideinformationandguidelinesfortheselectionofmaterialsforjointsealsin,oradjacentto,EIFS.Jointsneedtobedesignedfortheexpectedmovementsandconstructiontolerancessoanappropriatejointwidthcanbeestablished.1.1Thisguidedescribestheuseofsingleandmulti-component,cold-appliedjointsealants,orprecuredsealantsystemsforjointsealingapplications,orboth,inbuildingsusingexteriorinsulationandfinishsystems(EIFS)ononeorbothsidesofthejoint.Refertoforjointsealgeometries.1.2TheelastomericsealantsdescribedbythisguidemeettherequirementsofSpecificationsC834,C920,orC1311.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareprovidedforinformationonly.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecifichazardstatements,seeNotes1and2.1.5TherearenoISOstandardssimilarorequivalenttothisASTMstandard.
