【摘要】:ThispartofIEC61290appliestoallcommerciallyavailableopticalamplifiers(OAs)andopticallyamplifiedsubsystems.ItappliestoOAsusingopticallypumpedfibres(OFAsbasedoneitherrare-earthdopedfibresorontheRamaneffect),semiconductoropticalamplifiers(SOAs)andwaveguides(POWA).Theobjectofthisstandardistoestablishuniformrequirementsforaccurateandreliablemeasurements,bymeansoftheinterpolatedsourcesubtractionmethodusinganopticalspectrumanalyzer.ThefollowingOAparameters,asdefinedinClause3ofIEC61291-1,aredetermined:?channelgain,and?channelsignal-spontaneousnoisefigure.Thismethodiscalledinterpolatedsourcesubtraction(ISS)becausetheamplifiedspontaneousemission(ASE)ateachchannelisobtainedbyinterpolatingfrommeasurementsatasmallwavelengthoffsetaroundeachchannel.Tominimizetheeffectofsourcespontaneousemission,theeffectofsourcenoiseissubtractedfromthemeasurednoise.TheaccuracyoftheISStechniquedegradesathighinputpowerlevelduetothespontaneousemissionfromthelasersource(s).AnnexAprovidesguidanceonthelimitsofthistechniqueforhighinputpower.Anadditionalsourceofinaccuracyisduetointerpolationerror.AnnexAprovidesguidanceonthemagnitudeofinterpolationerrorforatypicalamplifierASEversuswavelengthcharacteristic.NOTE1Allnumericalvaluesfollowedby(?)aresuggestedvaluesforwhichthemeasurementisassured.Othervaluesmaybeacceptablebutshouldbeverified.NOTE2GeneralaspectsofnoisefiguretestmethodsarereportedinIEC61290-3.
