【摘要】:Thistestmethodisusedforthecalibrationofablock-on-ringtestingmachinebymeasuringthefrictionandwearpropertiesofacalibrationfluidundertheprescribedtestconditions.Theuserofthistestmethodshoulddeterminetohisorherownsatisfactionwhetherresultsofthistestprocedurecorrelatewithfieldperformanceorotherbenchtestmachines.Ifthetestconditionsarechanged,wearvaluescanchangeandrelativeratingsoffluidscanbedifferent.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthecalibrationandoperationofablock-on-ringfrictionandweartestingmachine.1.2ThevaluesstatedineitherSI(metric)unitsorinch-poundunitstoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Withinthetexttheinch-poundunitsareshowninbrackets.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;thereforeeachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesofthetwosystemsmayresultinnoncomformancewiththestandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
