【摘要】:Thismethodindicatesapproximatechangeinpropertiesofasphaltduringconventionalhot-mixingatabout150x00B0;C[302x00B0;F]asindicatedbyviscosity,penetration,orductilitymeasurements.Ityieldsaresiduewhichapproximatestheasphaltconditionasincorporatedinthepavement.Ifthemixingtemperaturediffersappreciablyfromthe150x00B0;C[302x00B0;F]level,moreorlesseffectonpropertieswilloccur.Note18212;Thequalityoftheresultsproducedbythisstandardaredependentonthecompetenceofthepersonnelperformingtheprocedureandthecapability,calibration,andmaintenanceoftheequipmentused.AgenciesthatmeetthecriteriaofSpecificationD3666aregenerallyconsideredcapableofcompetentandobjectivetestingandsampling.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheeffectsofheatandaironafilmofsemisolidasphalticmaterials.Theeffectsofthistreatmentaredeterminedfrommeasurementsofselectedasphaltpropertiesbeforeandafterthetest.1.2ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.1.3Warningx2014;MercuryhasbeendesignatedbytheUnitedStatesEnvironmentalProtectionAgencyandmanystateagenciesasahazardousmaterialthatcancausecentralnervoussystem,kidneyandliverdamage.Mercury,oritsvapor,maybehazardoustohealthandcorrosivetomaterials.Cautionshouldbetakenwhenhandlingmercuryandmercurycontainingproducts.SeetheapplicableMaterialSafetyDataSheet(MSDS)fordetailsandEPAx2019;swebsitex2014;http://www.epa.gov/mercury/index.htmx2014;foradditionalinformation.Usersshouldbeawarethatsellingmercuryand/ormercurycontainingproductsintoyourstatemaybeprohibitedbystatelaw.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
