【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversengineoilsforlight-dutyandheavy-dutyinternalcombustionenginesusedunderavarietyofoperatingconditionsinautomobiles,trucks,vans,buses,andoff-highwayfarm,industrial,andconstructionequipment.1.2Thisspecificationisnotintendedtocoverengineoilapplicationssuchasoutboardmotors,snowmobiles,lawnmowers,motorcycles,railroadlocomotives,oroceangoingvessels.1.3Thisspecificationisbasedonenginetestresultsthatgenerallyhavebeencorrelatedwithresultsobtainedonreferenceoilsinactualserviceenginesoperatingwithgasolineordieselfuel.AsitpertainstotheAPISLengineoilcategory,itisbasedonenginetestresultsthatgenerallyhavebeencorrelatedwithresultsobtainedonreferenceoilsruningasolineengineSequenceTeststhatdefinedengineoilcategoriespriorto2000.Itshouldberecognizedthatnotallaspectsofengineoilperformanceareevaluatedbytheenginetestsinthisspecification.Inaddition,whenassessingoilperformance,itisdesirablethattheoilbeevaluatedunderactualoperatingconditions.1.4Thisspecificationincludesbenchandchemicalteststhathelpevaluatesomeaspectsofengineoilperformancenotcoveredbytheenginetestsinthisspecification.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.
