【摘要】:1.1ProductdefinitionThisstandardcontainstheinitial,startoflifedimensional,optical,mechanicalandenvironmentalperformancerequirementswhichaterminatedandassembledsinglemoderesilientalignmentsleeveLSHPCsimplexconnectorset(plug-adaptor-plug),adaptorandpatchcordmustmeetinorderforittobecategorisedasanENstandardproduct.Sincedifferentvariantsandgradesofperformancearepermitted,productmarkingdetailsaregivenin3.5.1.2IntermateabilityAlthoughallproductsconformingtotherequirementsofthisstandardwillintermate,theresultinglevelofrandomattenuationperformancewillonlybeensuredinaccordancewithTable1.Theintentionisthatthiswillbetrueirrespectiveofthemanufacturingsource(s)oftheproduct.Whenintermatingplugvariantshavingdifferentattenuationgrades,theresultinglevelofattenuationcannotbeassuredtobeanybetterthantheworstattenuationgrade.TheintermatingofagradeCplugwithagradeBplugwillresultinanuncertainlevelofrandomattenuationperformance.1.3OperatingenvironmentThetestsselectedcombinedwiththeseveritiesanddurationsarerepresentativeofaCategoryCenvironment.1.4ReliabilityWhilsttheanticipatedservicelifeexpectancyoftheproductinthisenvironmentis20years,compliancewiththisstandarddoesnotguaranteethereliabilityoftheproduct.Thisshouldbepredictedusingarecognisedreliabilityassessmentprogramme.1.5QualityassuranceCompliancewiththisstandarddoesnotguaranteethemanufacturingconsistencyoftheproduct.Thisshouldbemaintainedusingarecognisedqualityassuranceprogramme.
