【摘要】:ThisBritishStandardgivesrecommendationsforachievinginteroperabilitybetweensystemsinlearning,educationandtraining.Thestandardprovidesguidance:a)onthedevelopmentandreuseofapplicationprofiles;b)fortheuseofapplicationprofileswhereinteroperabilityisarequirement.Whereapplicationprofilesaredevelopedsolelyforlocaluse,thenthisstandardasawholeisnotapplicablealthoughindividualrecommendationscouldstillproveuseful.Thestandardisapplicableacrossallsectorsandlevelsoflearning,educationandtraining.Whilsttherequirementsofdifferentcommunitiescanleadtothedevelopmentofdifferentapplicationprofiles,theprocessesunderlyingthedevelopmentwillbecommon.ThestandardprovidesguidanceonthereuseoftheBSISO15836DublinCoreMetadataElementSet(DCMES)developedbytheDublinCoreMetadataInitiative(DCMI)[1]andtheIEEE1484.12.1-2002standardforLearningObjectMetadata(LOM)developedbytheInstituteofElectricalandElectronicsEngineers(IEEE)LearningObjectMetadataWorkingGroup[2].Thestandardmakesrecommendationsaboutencodingmechanisms(e.g.XMLDTD,XMLschema,RDF)forapplicationprofilebindingsbutdoesnotmandatetheuseofanyparticularencodingmechanism.Thestandarddoesnotprovidemechanismsforevaluatingorcomparingtheeducationalvalueoflearningresources.Thestandardisintendedtooptimize,ratherthancompletelyremove,humaninteractioninthetransferofinformationbetweensystems.
