【摘要】:1.1Theserequirementscoverfactory-builtgreaseducts,andgreaseductassembliesthatareintendedtobeinstalledatreducedclearanceswhere18inch(457mm)clearanceisspecifiedintheStandardforVentilationControlandFireProtectionofCommercialCookingOperations,NFPA96,andtheInternationalMechanicalCode.1.2Theserequirementsalsocovermodulargreaseductassemblies,unweldedconnectionsbetweenadjoiningductparts,fittings,accessdoors,andthelikeintendedforusewithgreaseductsinstalledinaccordancewithNFPA96andtheInternationalMechanicalCode.1.3TheserequirementsdonotaddressNFPA96andtheInternationalMechanicalCoderequirementsforgreaseductenclosures.GreaseductscoveredonlybytheserequirementsareintendedtobeinstalledinafireresistiveenclosurewhenrequiredbyNFPA96ortheIMC.1.4Requirementsusedtoevaluatetheeffectivenessofthecombinationofagreaseductandanenclosureasafireratedenclosuresystemandthroughpenetrationfirestopsystem,aswellastheenclosure'seffectonthegreaseductarecontainedinStandardforTestsofFireResistiveGreaseDuctEnclosureAssemblies,UL2221,andASTME2336,StandardTestMethodsforFireResistiveGreaseDuctEnclosureSystems.ThisneweditionalsoincludesrevisionstotheScope,Glossary,Materials,Performance,TestInstallations,MaximumTemperatureRiseInformation,500DegreeTemperatureTestandtheAbnormalTemperatureTest.
