【摘要】:Thistestmethodisastandardprocedurefordeterminingtheresistancetowaterpenetrationunderuniformpositivestaticairpressuredifferences,andsimulateswinddrivenrainimposedonsidelapsandrainthatisfreetodrainwhilebuildingawaterheadasitflows.Theslopeoftheroofissignificant.Thesefactorsshallbefullyconsideredpriortospecifyingthetestpressuredifference.Note18212;Inapplyingtheresultsoftestsbythismethod,notethattheperformanceofarooforitscomponents,orboth,maybeafunctionofproperinstallationandadjustment.Inservice,theperformancealsodependsontherigidityofsupportingconstruction,roofslope,andontheresistanceofcomponentstodeteriorationbyvariouscauses:corrosiveatmosphere,aging,ice,vibration,thermalexpansionandcontraction,etc.Itisdifficulttosimulatetheidenticalcomplexwettingconditionsthatcanbeencounteredinservice,includinglargewind-blownwaterdrops,increasingwaterdropimpactpressureswithincreasingwindvelocity,andlateralorupwardmovingairandwater.Somedesignsaremoresensitivethanotherstothisupwardmovingwater.Note28212;Thisisatestprocedure.Itistheresponsibilityofthespecifyingagencytodeterminethespecimenconstruction,size,andtestpressuresafterconsideringthemethodrsquo;guidelines.Practicalconsiderationssuggestthateverycombinationofpanelthickness,span,anddesignloadneednotbetestedinordertosubstantiateproductperformance.Note38212;Thistestmethodshallnot,byitself,bereliedupontoformconclusionsaboutoverallwaterpenetrationthroughmetalroofs.Aroofcontainsmanydetails.Althoughprescribedmodificationsareoutsidethescopeofthistestmethod,anexperiencedtestingengineerisabletousetheprinciplespresentedinthistestmethodandgeneratesignificantdatabyisolatingspecificdetailsandmeasuringleakage.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheresistanceofexteriormetalroofpanelsystemstowaterpenetrationwhenwaterisappliedtotheoutdoorfacesimultaneouslywithastaticairpressureattheoutdoorfacehigherthanthepressureattheindoorface,thatis,positivepressure.ThistestmethodisaspecializedadaptionofTestMethodE331.1.2Thistestmethodisapplicabletoanyroofareaandisintendedtomeasureonlythewaterpenetrationassociatedwiththefieldofroofincludingpanelsidelapsandstructuralconnections.Itdoesnotincludeleakageatopeningsorperimeteroranyotherdetails.1.3Thistestmethodislimitedtospecimensinwhichthesideseamsandattachmentsareclearlyvisibleandinwhichthesourceofleakageisreadilydetermined.Compositesystemsinwhichthesourcecannotbereadilydeterminedareoutsidethescopeofthistestmethod.1.4Theproperuseofthistestmethodrequiresaknowledgeoftheprinciplesofpressureandflowmeasurement.1.5Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonlyandmaybeapproximate.1.6Thetextofthistestmethodreferencesnotesandfootnotesexcludingtablesandfigures,whichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotesshallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthetestmethod.1.7Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecifichazardstatements,see7.1.
