【摘要】:Thispracticepermitstheevaluationofvariouscoagulantsandcoagulantaidsusedinthetreatmentofwaterandwastewaterforthesamewaterandthesameexperimentalconditions.Theeffectsofconcentrationofthecoagulantsandcoagulantaidsandtheirorderofadditioncanalsobeevaluatedbythispractice.1.1Thispracticecoversageneralprocedurefortheevaluationofatreatmenttoreducedissolved,suspended,colloidal,andnonsettleablematterfromwaterbychemicalcoagulation-flocculation,followedbygravitysettling.Theproceduremaybeusedtoevaluatecolor,turbidity,andhardnessreduction.1.2Thepracticeprovidesasystematicevaluationofthevariablesnormallyencounteredinthecoagulation-flocculationprocess.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
