【摘要】:Thistestmethodisusefulindeterminingtheapproximateamountofnonvolatileinorganicmaterialinwetblue.Thismaybeintheformofsaltsoroxidesoftheelements.Inamixed-chrometannage,theapproximatepercentageofotherelementsinthewetbluemaybedeterminedbysubtractingthechromicoxidethatmaybeconvenientlydeterminedontheash.(SeeTestMethodD6714.)Thespecifiedtemperatureof600x00B0;Cishighenoughtoproduceareproducibleresultbutitdoesnotcompletelydehydratesuchoxidesasaluminumoxide(Al2O3)andchromicoxide(Cr2O3).Likewise,suchsaltsassulfatesandphosphatesmaybeincompletelydehydrated,andifalkalisandchromiumarepresentsimultaneously,oxidationtochromatemayoccur.Therefore,cautionisadvisedindrawingconclusionsbasedonquantitativerelationsoftheelements.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftotalashinwetblueandwetwhite.1.2Fortotalashinwetwhite,theprocedureisidentical;substitutewetwhiteforwetblueinthestandard.1.3Totalashinwetbluemaybereporteduponanumberofdifferentbases(forexample,fat-free,moisture-free,asreceived,excludingchromium,andsoforth).Beforeproceedingwithanytests,itisveryimportanttodetermineuponwhichbasisthatthetotalashistobereportedandtoidentifyallothertestmethodsthatwillberequiredtobeexecutedinordertoachievethedeterminedreportingmethod.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
