【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversliquidmembrane-formingcompoundssuitableforapplicationtoconcretesurfacestoreducethelossofwaterduringtheearly-hardeningperiod.White-pigmentedmembrane-formingcompoundsservetheadditionalpurposeofreducingthetemperatureriseinconcreteexposedtoradiationfromthesun.Themembrane-formingcompoundscoveredbythisspecificationaresuitableforuseascuringmediaforfreshconcrete,andmayalsobeusedforfurthercuringofconcreteafterremovalofformsorafterinitialmoistcuring.Note18212;ThisspecificationaddressesonlythosepropertieslistedinSections5through8.Membrane-formingcompoundswithspecialpropertiesincludingbetterwaterretention,minimumsolidscontent,resistancetoultravioletradiation,acidandalkaliresistanceandnon-interferencewithadhesivesaredescribedinSpecificationC1315.Note28212;Solutionsofsilicatesaltsarechemicallyreactiveinconcreteratherthanmembrane-forming;therefore,theydonotmeettheintentofthisspecification.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareprovidedforinformationalpurposesonly.1.3Thefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section10,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.1.4Thetextofthisstandardreferencesnotesandfootnoteswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotesshallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthestandard.1.5Thisisaperformancespecification.Theallowablecompositionofproductscoveredbythisspecificationislimitedbyvariouslocal,regional,andnationalregulations.Issuesrelatedtoairquality(solventemission),workerexposure,andotherhazardsarenotaddressedhere.Itistheresponsibilityoftheproducersandusersofthesematerialstocomplywithpertinentregulations.WarningSomeVOCexemptsolventsusedtomeettheregulationsareextremelyflammablewithlowautoignitiontemperaturesandrapidevaporationrates.Consultthemanufacturer''sproductinformationsheetforimportantapplicationandsafetyinformation.
