【摘要】:Uraniumhexafluorideisabasicmaterialusedtoproducenuclearreactorfuel.Tobesuitableforthispurpose,thematerialmustmeetcriteriaforisotopiccomposition.ThistestmethodisdesignedtodeterminewhetherthematerialmeetstherequirementsdescribedinSpecificationsC787andC996.1.1Thistestmethodisapplicabletotheisotopicanalysisofuraniumhexafluoride(UF6)with235Uconcentrationslessthanorequalto5%and234U,236Uconcentrationsof0.0002to0.1%.1.2Thistestmethodmaybeapplicabletotheanalysisoftheentirerangeof235UisotopiccompositionsprovidingthatadequateCertifiedReferenceMaterials(CRMsortraceablestandards)areavailable.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
