【摘要】:Thetestingandinspectionofconcreteandconcreteaggregatesareimportantelementsinobtainingqualityconstruction.Atestingagencyprovidingtheseservicesmustbeselectedwithcare.Atestingagencyshallbedeemedqualifiedtoperformandreporttheresultsofitstestsiftheagencymeetstherequirementsofthispractice.Thetestingagencyservicesshallbeprovidedunderthetechnicaldirectionofaregisteredprofessionalengineer.Thispracticeestablishesessentialcharacteristicspertainingtotheorganization,personnel,facilities,andqualitysystemsofthetestingagency.Thispracticemaybesupplementedbymorespecificcriteriaandrequirementsforparticularprojects.1.1Thispracticeidentifiesanddefinestheduties,responsibilities,andminimumtechnicalrequirementsoftestingagencypersonnelandtheminimumtechnicalrequirementsforequipmentutilizedintestingconcreteandconcreteaggregatesforuseinconstruction.1.2ThispracticeprovidescriteriafortheevaluationofthecapabilityofatestingagencytoperformdesignatedASTMtestmethodsonconcreteandconcreteaggregates.Itcanbeusedbyanevaluationauthorityintheinspectionoraccreditationofatestingagencyorbyotherpartiestodetermineiftheagencyisqualifiedtoconductthespecifiedtests.Note18212;SpecificationE329providescriteriafortheevaluationofagenciesthatperformtheinspectionofconcreteduringplacement.1.3ThispracticeprovidescriteriaforInspectionBodiesandAccreditationBodiesthatprovideservicesforevaluationoftestingagenciesinaccordancewiththispractice.1.4Ifthetestingagencyrequiresexternaltechnicalservicestoconducttests,theexternalagencyshallbesubjecttoseparateevaluation.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
