【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethoddefinesproceduresfortestingvitrifiedclaypipelines,usinglow-pressureair,todemonstratetheintegrityoftheinstalledline.RefertoPracticeC12.1.2Thistestmethodshallbeperformedonlinesafterconnectionlaterals,ifany,havebeenpluggedandbracedadequatelytowithstandthetestpressure,andafterthetrencheshavebeenbackfilledforasufficienttimetogenerateasignificantportionoftheultimatetrenchloadonthepipeline.Thetimebetweencompletionofthebackfilloperationandlow-pressureairtestingshallbedeterminedbytheapprovingauthority.1.3Thistestmethodmayalsobeusedasapreliminarytest,whichenablestheinstallertodemonstratetheconditionofthelinepriortobackfillandfurtherconstructionactivities.1.4Thistestmethodissuitablefortestinggravity-flowsewerpipeconstructedofvitrifiedclayorcombinationsofclayandotherpipematerials.1.5TerminologyC896istobeusedforclarificationofterminologyinthistestmethod.1.6Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.7Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
