【摘要】:Theiodineadsorptionnumberisusefulincharacterizingcarbonblacks.Itisrelatedtothesurfaceareaofcarbonblacksandisgenerallyinagreementwithnitrogensurfacearea.Thepresenceofvolatiles,surfaceporosity,orextractableswillinfluencetheiodineadsorptionnumber.Agingofcarbonblackcanalsoinfluencetheiodinenumber.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheiodineadsorptionnumberofcarbonblack.1.1.1MethodAistheoriginaltestmethodforthisdeterminationandMethodBisanalternatetestmethodusingautomatedsampleprocessingandanalysis.1.2Theiodineadsorptionnumberofcarbonblackhasbeenshowntodecreasewithsampleaging.NewSRBHTIodineStandardshavebeenproducedthatexhibitstableiodinenumberuponaging.OneormoreoftheseSRBHTIodineStandardsarerecommendedfordailymonitoring(x-charts)toensurethattheresultsarewithinthecontrollimitsoftheindividualstandard.UseallSRBHTIodineStandardsforstandardizationofiodinetesting(seeSection8)whentargetvaluescannotbeobtained.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
