【摘要】:1.1*Scope.Thisstandardshallapplytotheproduction,processing,finishing,handling,recycling,storage,anduseofallmetalsandalloysthatareinaformthatiscapableofcombustionorexplosion.1.1.1TheproceduresinChapter4shallbeusedtodeterminewhetherametalisinanoncombustibleform.1.1.2CombustiblePowderorDust.1.1.2.1Thisstandardalsoshallapplytooperationswheremetalormetalalloysaresubjectedtoprocessingorfinishingoperationsthatproducecombustiblepowderordust.1.1.2.2Operationswheremetalormetalalloysaresubjectedtoprocessingorfinishingoperationsthatproducecombustiblepowderordustshallinclude,butshallnotbelimitedto,machining,sawing,grinding,buffing,andpolishing.1.1.3*Metals,metalalloyparts,andthosematerials,includingscrap,thatexhibitcombustioncharacteristicsofaluminum,alkalimetals,magnesium,tantalum,titanium,orzirconiumshallbesubjecttotherequirementsofthemetalwhosecombustioncharacteristicstheymostcloselymatch.1.1.4Metalsandmetalalloypartsandthosematerials,includingscrap,thatdonotexhibitcombustioncharacteristicsofalkalimetals,aluminum,magnesium,niobium,tantalum,titanium,orzirconiumaresubjecttotherequirementsofChapter10.1.1.5*Thisstandardshallnotapplytothetransportationofmetalsinanyformonpublichighwaysandwaterwaysorbyairorrail.1.1.6Thisstandardshallnotapplytotheprimaryproductionofaluminum,magnesium,andlithium.1.1.7Thisstandardshallapplytolaboratoriesthathandle,use,orstoremorethan1/2lbofalkalimetalsor2lbaggregateofothercombustiblemetals,excludingalkalimetals.1.1.8Allalkalimetalsandmetalsthatareinaformthatiswaterreactiveshallbesubjecttothisstandard.1.1.9*IfthequantityofacombustiblemetallistedinTable1.1.9isexceededinanoccupancy,therequirementsofNFPA484shallapply.
