【摘要】:Thisstandardprovidescommonelementsforbasictime-criticalmessagingcommunicationsbetweendevicesinanautomationenvironment.Theterm“time-critical”isusedtorepresentthepresenceofatime-window,withinwhichoneormorespecifiedactionsarerequiredtobecompletedwithsomedefinedlevelofcertainty.Failuretocompletespecifiedactionswithinthetimewindowrisksfailureoftheapplicationsrequestingtheactions,withattendantrisktoequipment,plantandpossiblyhumanlife.ThisstandarddefinesinanabstractwaytheexternallyvisibleserviceprovidedbytheType19fieldbusdata-linklayerintermsofa)theprimitiveactionsandeventsoftheservice;b)theparametersassociatedwitheachprimitiveactionandevent,andtheformwhichtheytake;andc)theinterrelationshipbetweentheseactionsandevents,andtheirvalidsequences.Thepurposeofthisstandardistodefinetheservicesprovidedto?theType19fieldbusapplicationlayerattheboundarybetweentheapplicationanddatalinklayersofthefieldbusreferencemodel,and?systemsmanagementattheboundarybetweenthedata-linklayerandsystemsmanagementofthefieldbusreferencemodel.
