【摘要】:Thesetestmethodscoverlaboratoryequipment,procedures,andbasicrequirementspertinenttotestingprotectiveheadgear.Deviationsoradditions,orboth,tothesetestmethodswillbespecified,asrequired,inindividualASTMperformancestandards.Requirements-Theprotectiveheadgearistobetestedunderspecifiedenvironmentalconditionsforthefollowing:Impactattenuation(thelimitingofheadacceleration)oftheprotectiveheadgear,andStrengthandstabilityoftheretentionsystemanditsattachmenttotheprotectiveheadgear.Specialtestsforparticularprotectiveheadgearuseswillbespecifiedintheindividualperformancestandardstobeusedinconjunctionwiththesetestmethods.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
